Knoxville Music Lessons

Blake has accumulated over 15 years of music teaching experience, working with more than 200 students.

A Knoxville, TN native, Blake’s love of music started early in life. In high school, Blake and some of his close friends formed local rock bands: Matchpoint, Rockwell, and Notice.

While attending the University of Tennessee, Blake taught friends and family guitar lessons and quickly developed a passion for teaching. After graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Music degree, Blake continued honing his unique style of teaching music and expanded his offering to include guitar, drums, voice, bass, piano and ukulele.

Beyond teaching, Blake also writes, produces, and records his own original music. His favorite musical influences include Khruangbin, Tyler Childers, D’Angelo, Darrell Scott, Chris Thile, Chet Baker, and Edgar Meyer.

When Blake’s not writing or teaching music, you’ll likely find him hiking one of the many beautiful trails in East Tennessee, hanging out with his wife Lynsay and their dog Carmella, and following his newest curiosity.
